What we did last week

Last week we did a lot of work. We did an exel maps, I dont know why we did them but I guess i'm going to find out this week. We also did some work sheets and book work. The worksheets were about slavery they were really inrtesting because the worksheets had alot of information about how the slaves were treated. Some other worksheets were about Abraham Lincoln"s life. I learned a lot of Abraham Lincoln and slavery this week.

LINDA

Last week in class i learned a couple things about Abraham Lincoln. I also learned that it is really hard to keep up in Ms. Johnsons class since she does not accept late work.finaly i learned that i have a really bad grade inn this class.
This week i have learned about Abraham Lincoln and his life story. We are also doing a project in where you act like your a person living in the civil war and you write a jurnal. I am writing about me being a young girl in the state of virginia in wich her husband and brother are going to war

Last weeks work (Believe in yourself)

Well, last week had a lot to it. We learned anything from making excel maps to book work. The things that I will remember are that excel maps are not very easy to put together, and if you try to succeed you will. No doubt about it. When you believe in your self others believe in you too.
I think the students need to remember that being on time is very important. If you come to class late every day you miss out on things like instructions, and so much more. It is really a shame because I used to be like this; until I told my self "I want to know whats going on." So what if people think I am weird for saying that I actually care about my education. Most of you do not and when I am in college living my dream you will probably wish that you would have gone to school. Always be here on time. Coming from someone who willingly threw their first two years of high school away for friends and or fun, this comes from the bottom of my heart. To all my fellow students, you can do this, it takes time, commitment, strive and so much more, but it is still not hard enough to give up. BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF!

Last weeks work.

Last week we learned how to prepare our own newspapers on the Civil war.Students need to remember the major causes and who were involved such as Abraham Lincoln. The real major issue had to do with the decisions of slavery.

Our Second Section of this Chapter

Being in this class has taught many things that I didn't know about the Civil War. This war was a very important part of our history. The Civil War contributed a lot to the slaves becoming free. The slaves were very miserable during this war. They were treated as an inferior. This war started because the Northern states didn't want the new states to be pro slave. So the South got mad and was like well why not. So this is why the Compromise of 1850 was so important because this made each state that wanted to join the union have the choice of being a free state or a pro-slave state. When California became a free state the South got mad and put the Fugitive Slave Law. Then Abraham Lincoln ran for president and won. Once this happened 7 states seceded from the union because they didn't want to become free states. Then the war began in 1861-1865.
